Interpreting Services
We recognise that Lambeth is a very diverse community and in response to this we provide interpreters if necessary when you have an appointment with the doctor or nurse.
Please ensure that if you require an interpreter to let us know when you register.
If you do not speak English well and would like an interpreter please try to explain this to reception when you are booking an appointment.
We can then get an interpreter booked for you.
The interpeting service requires 48 hours notice to book a face-to-face intepreter, and not every language is available every day, so it is best to try and book in advance where possible.
In an emergency we can get access to an interpreter over the telephone, but for routine matters it is better to have an interpreter in person.
Languages Spoken at the Practice
Dr Ng speaks Mandarin, Chinese dialects, Malay (Indonesian) as well as English, if you speak these languages you may wish to request that your appointments are with Dr Ng.
Dr Velji speaks Gujarati, if you prefer to speak in Gujarati please book your appointments with Dr Velji.
Jorge Vega-Alferoff & Cecilia Meza (receptionists) speak Spanish. They can interpret for you in an appointment with the doctor or nurse if we are unable to book an interpreter for you.
Lucie Lehane (receptionist) speaks Polish. She can interpret for you in an appointment with the doctor or nurse if we are unable to book an interpreter for you.
