Confidentiality

We have a legal duty to protect patient's confidentiality at all times.
This means that we cannot disclose any details of your treatment to anybody else without your consent - even if you are under 16 years old.

To help us maintain your confidentiality, please do not ask other people to ring for your results or to collect your prescriptions or letters, unless you are happy that they know about what treatment you are having.

We will often ask your date of birth and ask you to confirm your name before giving out information to try to ensure that we are giving information to the correct patient.

The seating in the waiting room is placed a distance from the reception desk to give greater confidentiality at the reception desk and for patients phoning into the practice.

Please respect the privacy of other patients when attending surgery.
If you need to speak to a member of staff in a more private setting please raise your need with the reception staff.
