‘GP Patient Survey – Your doctor, your experience, your say’

SurveyThis year’s GP Patient Survey is currently being run by Ipsos Mori on behalf of the Department of Health. The aim of the survey is to collect information about how easy or difficult it is for patients to see or speak to a doctor at their practice.

The Department of Health has set some standards for how easy it should be for people to book an appointment with their doctor and this survey will measure how well GP surgeries are meeting these standards.

You may receive a questionnaire in the post. If you do please complete the questionnaire and return it. The more responses received the more accurate a picture we will get on how well we are doing.

Access & action taken after last year’s survey.

Ease of access for our patients remains one of our highest priorities.

We had a patient forum in August to discuss the results from the patient survey run in the Spring by Ipsos Mori and to look at how we can build on this.

Our results were:

It was highlighted that not all patients were aware they could book appointments in advance and were also not sure when each Doctor was on duty. To improve this we have put a notice in reception detailing the rota which will be updated if anything changes.
Please see the surgery timetables in Surgery Times tab above.

Please also be aware that you can book appointments up to
8 weeks in advance.
If your problem is routine please book your appointments in advance.
